2020 Virtual Tours

Each winter for 5 years, New Zealand's most healthy, energy-efficient homes have been opened up to the public on our Superhome Tours. Our goal is to raise standards so that all new homes are healthy and low carbon better for people and the planet. On these tours between 5,000 to 10,000 residents have attended, depending if its a one weekend or three weekend tour. This year tour planning was impacted by Covid19 and we are producing video tours and 3D virtual tours to provide ongoing access and sharing of important educational information on how to create a Superhome.

Superhome Movement Video Tour 1: Bob Burnett talks about the process of creating a Superhome and some of the details at one of the latest BBA projects under construction with Dan Suanders from Eco Panel and Damien McGill from CGW consulting.

Superhome Movement Video Tour 2: Bob talks to Architect Greg Young and the home owners about what makes their home a Superhome.

Superhome Movement Video Tour 3: North Parade House with Peter from Ethos Homes

Superhome Movement Video Tour 4: Simon Geary from Canform Structures takes us on a tour of two Christchurch rebuild projects that were to be on our last Bus tour that was postponed due to Covid19 - Billens building and Ruby Black building on High Street.

Superhome Movement Video Tour 5: Casey Curtis of Curtis Architecture and client Janette talk about the process of creating a Superhome and some of the details of this under-construction project.

Superhome Movement Video Tour 6: Bob talks about the design of 2 Ramahana Road and the process of creating a Superhome with the Architect - Susanne from Architecta, and the builder - Lydia from Maid of Wood
