NZ CERTIFIED BUILDERS
The NZ Certified Builders Association (NZCB) is a membership organisation started in 1998 with a focus on:
• Promoting excellence in building standards and superior workmanship
• Education, trade qualifications and continuous learning
• Demonstrating industry leadership.
Initiatives include the Apprentice Network, the Halo 10-Year Residential Guarantee, and a suite of 32 Certified Plans. Sustainability is a priority as NZCB provides information, education and tools and raises awareness of industry challenges and opportunities:
The building and construction sector has an important role to play in helping solve environmental and climate related issues in Aotearoa NZ.
Whether it’s designing and building energy efficient homes, reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions in the building process, or reducing the vast amounts of waste, our collective goal is to build greener and smarter.
Homeowners are demanding innovative and sustainable planning and construction practices in their building project. Builders are looking for ways to integrate ecofriendly practices and efficiencies into their businesses.
Online resources include information on building for climate change, reducing building waste, and building a healthier home that is still affordable.
